NASHVILLE, TENN. – Griffen Palmer has had a big week. Announced as the newest signee to Big Loud Records this past Monday, the on the verge singer/songwriter is keeping pace, releasing his version of romance filled love letter “Second Guessing” across all platforms today.

First heard nationwide as the winning cut on an episode of NBC’s Songland in 2020, the “stately ballad with hooks a-plenty and a slow-waltz groove that’s swoon worthy” (MusicRow)was co-written by Palmer and collaborators Corey Crowder, Ester Dean, Andrew DeRoberts, Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, Shane McAnally, Ben Simonetti, Ryan Tedder, and Geoff Warburton, and produced by Joey Moi. His fresh take on the emotive track, accompanied by its equally enthralling, Justin Clough-directed official music video, depicts the unmatched feeling of security and certainty that comes with finding your person.

Infusing his pop-country style into the tune’s dreamy lyrics, the riser delivers its twist-laden chorus with sincerity and a pin-sharp vocal:

Since I met you, I
I ain’t spent one second guessin’
I made up my mind
I never knew I
Just had to find my direction
Gettin’ lost in your eyes
‘Cause I’ve turned days into nights
And spent all of my life askin’ questions
Now I don’t spend one second guessin’

“I feel like the song is such an important part of my story as an artist, so I’m excited to put my own spin on it and put it out,” Palmer shares. “Seeing the reaction people had to it on Songland was wild. It means a lot to me to have so many people resonate with my music and what I have to say. I’ve had a lot of people ask me if I was ever going to do my own version, so I wanted to put this out for them. I hope everyone likes it!”

Palmer’s launch as an artist has been a welcome one, notably named SiriusXM The Highway’s newest “Highway Find” on Wednesday just days after his introduction. Continuing his hot streak, Palmer will join labelmate Lily Rose on tour for her 2023 headline tour kicking off Feb. 9 in Allston, Mass.
